Vintage Persian Kerman Lavar in "Tree of Life" pattern with floral design set in an ivory color field from the first half of the 20th century.  There are several beautiful designs that are incorporated in this rug including a row of cypress trees on the lower part of the rug.  Also the range of the colors in the design include green, gold, blue, and red.  The corner spandrels on the upper section of the design are in a bright red color with floral design.  The primary border is also in ivory color with flowers and tree designs throughout.

The village of Kerman is located at the edge of the great desert in Persia and it is known for some of the most beautiful and colorful rugs that were woven in Persia. The weavers used the color and flower designs in rugs to bring some color and nature’s beauty to the dry desert environment that they lived in.
