An exceptional vintage Persian Bibikabad rug from the early 20th century, showcasing the traditional Herati pattern with signature Bibikabad elements and a rich, vibrant palette. This handwoven tribal piece features a striking elongated ivory medallion adorned with intricate geometric forms, set against a rust red field. Radiating medallion motifs in varying shades of crimson and red enhance the visual rhythm, while corner spandrels in lush green are detailed with elements in French blue, pink, yellow, and brown. The vegetable-dyed wool produces a harmonious and dynamic color range, giving the rug a vibrant yet grounded character. Known for their durability and bold design, Bibikabad rugs are prized for their unique medallion structure and full, luxurious pile. This nearly 100-year-old piece remains in wonderful condition and serves as a captivating centerpiece for both traditional and curated eclectic interiors.
