Vintage Persian Bidjar runner circa the 4th quarter of the 19th century. The field is in ivory which is extremely rare and highly desirable with flower heads which is considered a variation of the paisley pattern. The major border is in navy background with colorful geometric square designs with brilliant colors including green, red, brown and more.  The guard borders are in beautiful saffron yellow with flower heads in red. The larger format “paisley” designs are in wonderful colors of pink, yellow, blue, and brown.  The Bidjar runner is a wonderful example of village weaving techniques.
