Welcome to The Persian Knot Gallery

Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and The Early 20th Century Fine Handwoven Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles From Around the World

$24,900.00

This striking vintage Persian Bidjar rug, hand-knotted in the late 20th century, features a rare allover Herati geometric pattern—an uncommon departure from the more typical central medallion design. The rug’s deep red field is intricately adorned with traditional Herati motifs in navy blue, ivory, French blue, and soft yellow, creating a refined, rhythmic composition that enhances both classic and modern interiors.

The midnight blue to near-black main border is richly decorated with geometric floral elements in red, blue, ivory, and yellow, lending a dramatic yet balanced frame to the piece. Celebrated for their exceptional durability and dense weave, Bidjar rugs are often called “The Iron Rugs of Persia.” With its high knot count, precise craftsmanship, and enduring visual appeal, this piece exemplifies the best of the Bidjar weaving tradition—ideal for collectors, designers, and sophisticated decorators.
