6’ 7” x 9’ 7” A Hand-Knotted Persian Bidjar in an all over Herati geometric pattern from the late 1900s. The rug has a red background color with designs in navy blue, ivory, French blue, and yellow. The border is midnight blue/black background with design colors in red, blue, ivory, and yellow. Most Bidjar rugs come with a central medallion design and it is rare to find one with an all over pattern. The Bidjar rugs are renowned for their very tight, high knot count, great designs and finally wonderful colors and this rug is no exception. They are so tightly woven that they are often referred to as “The Iron Rugs of Persia”!
