Naperville Magazine Features The Persian Knot Gallery
Posted by The Persian Knot Gallery on Nov 1st 2021
We are very pleased that Naperville Magazine will feature The Persian Knot Gallery in its December 2021 issue. The magazine is the sister publication to the Chicago Magazine and focuses on lifestyle in Western suburbs of the Greater Chicago Area.
In its December 2021 issue, the magazine is featuring cultures that have special celebrations around the Winter Solstice which is on December 21st, the beginning of the Winter Season. In ancient Persia, this night was called “Yalda” and was celebrated by gathering of family and friends to share food and the new season.
A number of items from our collection are going to be featured in the magazine including the Baluch Tribal Salt Bags. The Baluch trips in Southeast Persia and Western Afghanistan use the Salt Bags to store and transport salt. Salt has traditionally been a very important food preservative for nomads and tribes.
We are excited that Naperville Magazine reached out to the Persian Knot Gallery to be featured in their December 2021 Holiday Shopping issue. They reviewed our entire collection and selected a number of items from our Saddlebag, Horse Blanket and other Antique Tribal Weaving Collection.
Please check the Naperville Magazine website and our Blog postings for more updates in the near future.
At the Persian Knot Gallery, we believe in reducing our negative impact on the environment. We do this by helping our clients to reduce their carbon footprint by maintaining the rugs that they buy from us.
As our rugs were produced over 75 to 100 years ago and can be used for another 100 years if washed and maintained regularly.
We believe it’s a win-win approach: enjoy the beauty of an artisan handwoven rug whose quality and workmanship will provide use and joy for generations while reducing the negative impact on the climate.
