10’ x 14’ 8"         A beautiful Art Deco Chinese rug from the 1st quarter of the 1900s. The rug would bring in elegance through its understatement.  The rug has a Royal Blue color field with auspicious objects and symbols including incense burners, potted plants, temples, pagodas.  The primary border is in a Navy Blue color with traditional Chinese characters of bats and happiness symbols throughout.  The rug is very unique by having the weaver's signature on the lower border on both ends.  The grace and simplicity in the design and use of colors in the rug bring to mind the design of the Japanese rock meditation gardens.
