Description

A superb room-size Persian Heriz rug from the third quarter of the 20th century, showcasing the iconic aesthetic of the Heriz weaving tradition. The rug features a rich brick-red field, elegantly centered by a bold medallion in deep blue and red tones. Ivory corner spandrels provide a soft contrast, embellished with finely executed geometric motifs in yellow, green, blue, and red—hallmarks of classic Heriz design.

A dark blue main border frames the piece, enriched with stylized botanical and geometric elements in shades of green, red, and brown. Crafted from high-quality wool, this handwoven rug maintains a full, plush pile and exhibits minimal wear, preserving both its visual impact and structural integrity. A distinguished choice for refined interiors, this Heriz rug brings warmth, character, and historical charm to any design project.
