Description

Magnificent Late 19th Century Persian Kerman Lavar Room Size Rug. Meticulously hand-knotted, this piece is a testament to the exceptional skill of Lavar weavers, renowned for creating some of the most intricate and visually stunning rugs from the Kerman region of Persia.

This stunning rug features an all-over "Tree of Life" pattern, a deeply symbolic and beloved motif, gracefully rendered across its field. The design is set against an exquisite abrash royal blue color background, where subtle, natural variations in tone (abrash) add incredible depth and a nuanced, painterly quality that evolves with the light. Intricate floral designs in luminous ivory and rich burgundy intertwine throughout the field, bringing the "Tree of Life" to vibrant life.

What truly makes this Kerman Lavar exceptionally unique and highly desirable is its very rare and sought-after "near square" size, boasting an impressive 14 ft width. This unusual dimension allows for a grand and impactful presence in a variety of sophisticated interiors. The composition is further enhanced by multiple borders, each adorned with wonderful designs in complementary ivory and burgundy colors, meticulously framing the central masterpiece.
