Khorassan 1267

This exquisite vintage Persian Khorassan rug, woven in the early 20th century.  Set in a richly saturated crimson red field, this room-size carpet features an elegant central medallion design surrounded by scrolling floral motifs and branching foliage in a vibrant array of green, blue, pink, yellow, and ivory tones. The corner spandrels, rendered in a deep blue with floral ornamentation over a warm camelhair background, add visual depth and harmony to the overall composition.

The medallion itself, in shades of cream and blue, is adorned with a stylized floral bouquet, creating a striking focal point that draws the eye to the center of the rug. The main border, in a soft camel tone, is richly embellished with a variety of floral elements that complement the central field and contribute to the rug’s luminous and dynamic presence.
