Description
8' 9″ x 11' 8″ Room Size Persian Khorassan in a floral design with a central medallion from the early 1900s. The design is set in a rich crimson red field color. The main design consists of flowers and branches in various colors including red, green, pink, yellow, and blue. The corner spandrels have a dark blue color and have a wonderful bright color floral design set in the camelhair background. The central medallion is in cream and blue colors with a flower bouquet that stands out and makes for the most beautiful center medallion. This rug has a beautiful range of fantastic bright colors resembling a Persian grade. The border is in rich camelhair color with flowers in various designs. The Khorassan province in eastern Persia for several millennia has been considered the center of learning in the ancient east and has a great tradition of weaving beautiful and colorful rugs.
