4’ 3” x 6’ 8”  A vintage Persian Mahal Sultanabad area rug in an all over geometric pattern in navy blue, dark red, green, and French blue.   The Mahal Sultanabad area  rug has a midnight blue field color with large geometric and floral designs in French blue, green, pink, caramel, and a brilliant ivory color paisley forms that stand out.  The border is in a rich burgundy color with designs in blue, green, pink, pale yellow, and brown.  Organic vegetable dyes include shades of green, blue, pink, red, white, and yellow.  The design of this antique Persian Mahal Sultanabad carpet is similar to the rugs designed in the 19th century by Ziegler company in Persia.
