Finely hand woven Persian Nain room size rug from the 3rd quarter of the 1900s.  The Persian Nain has a beautiful floral design set on a navy blue color field with an ivory color border.   The floral design colors in the field include navy blue, French blue, and ivory and brown.  The central medallion and the corner spandrels are in ivory color with designs in navy, brown and blue.   The rug has a wool pile with a cotton foundation and silk highlights that shimmer under light.  The vibrancy of the silk is unbelievable especially in the beautiful central medallion which gives a three-dimensionality to the design.
