Description

A magnificent finely hand knotted Persian Nain room size rug circa the third quarter of the 1900s (circa 1950s-1975).  This exquisite rug features a sophisticated floral pattern, gracefully set against a rich and captivating navy blue field color. At its heart lies a prominent central medallion in a luminous cream color, intricately designed with elegant vases that incorporate fascinating "Kufic text" elements, adding a layer of historical and artistic depth.

The vibrant design colors in the field harmoniously blend various shades of blue, including deep navy blue, serene French blue, and delicate baby blue, alongside warm brown and contrasting cream tones. The corner spandrels, presented in a soft beige color, are equally captivating, adorned with intricate designs in French blue and baby blue that feature charming depictions of deer alongside characters also reminiscent of "Kufic text," further enriching the rug's narrative.

Crafted with a luxurious wool pile on a sturdy cotton foundation, the rug's most remarkable feature is the incredible vibrancy and extended use of silk highlights throughout the design. These silk accents catch the light, lending a stunning three-dimensionality to the intricate patterns and an unparalleled luster.
