Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and The Early 20th Century Fine Handwoven Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles From Around the World

$19,900.00

This finely woven Persian Nain rug, dating from the 3rd quarter of the 1900s, is a striking example of the elegance and precision found in Nain workshop weavings. Designed with a refined floral motif and a beautifully detailed central medallion, this room-size rug showcases a rich navy blue field surrounded by a graceful cream-colored border.

At the heart of the rug, a cream medallion features vase designs adorned with stylized Kufic text—a subtle nod to Persia’s deep artistic heritage. The corner spandrels, in soft beige, echo this theme with delicate depictions of deer and Kufic-like calligraphic elements, rendered in French blue and baby blue.

Crafted with a wool pile on a cotton foundation and enriched with silk highlights, this piece shimmers with life under changing light. The vibrant silk accents are used generously throughout the design, lending an incredible sense of depth and three-dimensionality that elevates its already exquisite pattern.

A true gem from the master weavers of Nain—this rug is both a luxurious statement piece and a collectible work of art.
