This vintage Persian Qum area rug, hand-knotted circa the mid-20th century, is a distinguished example of refined Persian craftsmanship. Featuring a uniquely elegant oval-shaped central medallion in a brilliant red hue, the design is set against a soft ivory field, offering a balanced contrast and visual depth.

The indigo border is richly decorated with intricate palmettes and gracefully meandering vine motifs, framing the central field with classical elegance. Woven with a fine wool pile on a silk foundation and accented with silk highlights throughout, the rug has a soft sheen and exceptional texture that reflects its high-quality materials and meticulous weaving technique.
