Description

This vintage Persian Shiraz tribal rug, crafted in Southwestern Persia, features a compelling balance of color, geometry, and nomadic artistry. Hand-knotted in the mid-20th century, it displays a rich burgundy field adorned with a connected series of small geometric medallions, each containing stylized vine motifs that symbolize growth and continuity. The striking dark green main border provides an elegant frame and enhances the visual depth of the composition.

Reflecting the weaving traditions of the Shiraz and Lori tribes, this piece shares design affinities with Qashqai rugs, including the classic “Shiraz Signature” medallion arrangement.
