Beautiful and colorful South American flat woven Sofreh kilim from the mid 1900s.  The kilim is a “near square size”  which is usually made as "Sofreh" which are rare.  It has beautiful colors including bright colors of yellow, red, cranberry, tan, navy and blue.  The kilim has an extremely fine weave and a very high quality handspun wool that was hand dyed with natural vegetable dyes.   The rug is made of two individual kilims that were separately weaved and then sewn together.
