This remarkable Persian Tabriz rug (SKU: 1208) is part of an extremely rare identical pair woven in the celebrated Shah Abbas design, created for the Persian Royal Court during the Safavid Dynasty in the 16th century. The rug radiates with a brilliant pomegranate-red field, bordered by deep navy blue and enriched with accents of turquoise, pink, green, brown, and red. Masterfully woven silk highlights illuminate the arabesques and floral motifs, creating elegant contrast and depth, while the use of white in the corner spandrels frames the composition with sophistication.
Distinguished by a very fine weave and high knot density, this rug showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Tabriz weaving traditions. Whether acquired as an individual statement piece or together with its companion rug (SKU: 1207), it represents the height of Persian textile artistry.
