$29,900.00

Beautiful  knotted vintage Persian Tabriz in a floral pattern circa the 3rd quarter of the 1900s.   The beautiful floral pattern room size rug was very finely woven with a very high knot count and  is set on an ivory color background with design accent colors in red, pink, pale green, and blue.  The Tabriz rug has a central medallion and the border in a pale salmon color with floral designs in green, blue, red and brown colors.  The corner spandrels are in pale green and pink colors. The finer rugs use silk for the foundation of the rug which is the case here. In addition, there is extensive use of the silk in the pile for highlighting the design making this rug almost "all silk" rug. The central medallion and the corners because of all the silk used shimmer under the light.  Although the rug was woven in the 3rd quarter of the 1900s, it has never been used and is in an “excellent -new” condition.
