Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and The Early 20th Century Fine Handwoven Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles From Around the World

$39,900.00

This exceptional early 20th-century Turkish Kazak design rug pays homage to the bold geometric traditions of Caucasian weaving, reimagined in a rare and impressive oversized format.

The all-over geometric pattern is masterfully hand-knotted on a luminous pale teal field, with striking motifs in crimson red, forest green, cobalt blue, ivory, and soft pink. The rug features a complex border system, including six guard borders and a prominent main border showcasing a classic design motif found in antique Gendje and Karabagh rugs from the Caucasus region.

What makes this piece truly unique is its scale—a design typically reserved for smaller tribal rugs has been expertly expanded, offering the visual language of the Caucasus in a grand and impactful presentation. The result is a perfect blend of Anatolian craftsmanship and Caucasian artistry.

This rare rug is not only a statement in design and color but also a testament to cross-regional inspiration and timeless aesthetic appeal.
