Turkish Runner 1923

2’ 6” x 6’ 7”      A Turkish village runner in a geometric medallion design similar to the Persian Heriz Karajeh runners.  The runner has a red background with four medallions in alternating colors of  ivory and navy background and designs in green, blue, pink and red.  It has a geometric pattern border in navy and red colors.

Date of Manufacture:  1st Quarter of the 1900s

Place of Origin:  Turkey

Material:  Wool pile on a wool foundation with natural vegetable dyes

Condition:  Wear consistent with age and use
