Description

A room size Persian Kerman Lavar hand knotted rug circa the mid to late 19th Century.  The rug's primary colors are a stunning and harmonious blend of luminous purple, sunny yellow, serene blue, and delicate pink, with subtle accents throughout. This exquisite palette, combined with the rug's aged patina, makes it a powerful foundational element for a design plan aiming to achieve a sense of "timeless beauty" and a nod to times past.  As a fine representative of Kerman Lavar weaving, this rug is still very beautiful and fully functional despite its age.

This beautiful rug features a classic floral pattern with a central medallion, a hallmark of Persian weaving. The rug's most captivating quality is its charming "distressed" or "shabby chic" look, which adds a sense of history, authenticity, and profound character. The gentle wear over the centuries does not diminish its artistry but rather enhances the understated beauty of its design and the mastery of its color palette.
