9’ 5” x 9’ 5”    Very rare room size square Persian Malayer from the mid 1900s in beautiful bright and cheerful colors.  The field color is a brilliant red with the border and the central medallion in abrash indigo blue.  This wonderful village weaving example has an open design in a large pattern format with bright accent colors including green, magenta, yellow, navy, pink, ivory and brown.  The use of natural vegetable dyes adds to the beauty of the village weaving art.
