Description

This exquisite vintage Persian Silk Qum area rug is a masterpiece of refined Persian weaving from the third quarter of the 20th century. Handwoven entirely of pure silk—both the  pile and the foundation.  The rug glows with an elegant natural luster that changes beautifully under light.

The design features a classical floral garden motif centered around a soft rust-red medallion set on an ivory field, framed by a deep navy border adorned with finely drawn scrolling vinery and blossoming flowers. The exceptional clarity of the design is made possible by the extremely fine knot count, a hallmark of master weavers from Qum (Qom), Iran, a city celebrated worldwide for its luxurious silk carpets.
