5’ 8” x 8’ 1” A room size Tabriz handwoven rug from the mid 1900s. The design of the rug is similar to the classic Persian rugs that were woven in the 16th and 17th centuries. The use of the fine wool and wonderful colors makes the design so vibrant with finely defined lines. It has a central medallion design in French blue, green, brown, and pink. The Tabriz has a very desirable cream color field which makes the floral design stand out. The leaves and flowers in the field are in brilliant colors including French blue, caramel, navy blue, green, and red. The corner spandrels are in caramel and French blue with accent colors in green, navy blue and red. The border is in a cream color with a similar design and colors to the field.
