9' 6″ x 13’ 8” Vintage room size Tabriz Afshan in a rare and highly desirable all over geometric Caucasian Kuba pattern. The beautiful rug has a navy blue background field color with a dark red border The rug is circa the 2nd quarter of the 1900s and in a wonderful condition. The design is similar to the Caucasian Kuba and Shirvan rugs from the 19th century in the so-called "Afshan" pattern (stylized dragon and blossom). The field design colors include green, blue, pink, yellow, and red. The use of geometric forms and bright colors throughout makes a truly wonderful design rug. Finally, this rug has a similar design as SKUs 2245, 1858, 1260, and 1261, which is very rare to find vintage rugs with very similar design.
