Turkish Hereke 1866

A vintage Turkish Hereke room size rug in a beautiful "allover" pattern set in a pale yellow or apricot color field.  The field is gorgeously framed by a beautiful border in a pale mauve or lavender color with scrolling lines in brown that have various forms in yellow, brown, green hanging from it.  The field design consists of a number of rows that have different groups of flowers in various colors including red, brown, yellow, orange, green, and blue. Each grouping of a flower bouquet is framed by a brown border which separates the grouping from the next.  The design gives the impression of one would discover a new bouquet as you look throughout the field.
