Description

This vintage hand knotted Turkish Hereke room size rug features a beautiful and highly desirable "allover" pattern set against a serene pale yellow or apricot color field. The design is a delightful discovery of artistry, consisting of a number of rows, each containing a unique group of flowers in a rich palette of red, brown, yellow, orange, green, and blue. Each floral bouquet is elegantly framed by a thin brown border, which separates it from the next, creating a wonderful sense of individual artistry and surprise as your eyes travel across the field.

The rug is gorgeously framed by a stunning border in a soft pale mauve or lavender color. This border is adorned with intricate scrolling lines in a warm brown, from which various forms in yellow, brown, and green gracefully hang. This unique border design provides a beautiful enclosure that complements the floral motifs of the field with understated sophistication.
