Curated Collection of Authentic 19th and The Early 20th Century Fine Handwoven Rugs, Tapestries and Textiles From Around the World

$8,900.00

A rare gem from the early 1900s, this antique Caucasian Shirvan area rug stands out not only for its extraordinary condition—nearly mint, with no signs of floor use—but also for its masterful village weaving and exceptional color palette. Woven in the Shirvan-Kuba region of the Caucasus Mountains, this rug is a pristine example of traditional craftsmanship and tribal artistry.

Set against a vibrant tomato red field, the rug features an allover geometric pattern in shades of green, blue, ivory, pink, and yellow. The precision and variety of motifs reflect the skill and imagination of the weaver. Framing the composition is a striking navy border adorned with a classic Kufic script motif in ivory, lending both a historical and artistic richness to the piece.

Ideal for collectors, interior designers, and aficionados of antique Caucasian rugs, this piece is a rare opportunity to acquire a fine vintage rug in wonderful condition.
